Draft regulations for car mirrors in vehicle inspection.
The Ministry of Transport is drafting a Circular to issue the National Technical Standard on mirrors used for automobiles in vehicle inspection.

The new draft has several noteworthy points. Regarding the Camera-Monitor System (CMS), it is defined as a system of equipment used to observe the rear, sides, or front of a vehicle within the field of view of this standard using a combination of camera and monitor, as follows:
A camera is a device that records images of the outside world and then converts these images into a signal (e.g., a video signal).
A monitor is a device that converts signals into images displayed within the visible spectrum. The term Camera-Monitor (CMS) in Standard 33:2019/BGTVT is replaced by the term Camera-Monitor System (CMS).
Regarding mirror type, rearview mirrors are considered to be of the same type if they have the same brand, manufacturer, and production address, and do not differ in the following key technical characteristics: the design of the mirror assembly, including any connecting details to the vehicle; the type of mirror, the shape of the mirror, the size, and the radius of curvature of the reflective surface.
Camera-monitor system type modifications: Camera-monitor systems are considered the same type if they have the same brand, manufacturer, and place of manufacture, and do not differ in the following key technical characteristics:
The design of the camera-monitor system includes details of its connection to the vehicle, if applicable.
CMS type, field of view, magnification, and resolution.
