Child returning home from school critically injured after being hit by train.

(Baonghean.vn) - After dropping her child off at school, Ms. Van was hit by a train while crossing the railway tracks, resulting in serious injuries.

At approximately 7:55 AM on January 20th, a railway accident occurred at the level crossing at Km 242 + 500, intersecting with the North-South railway line in Tan Son Hamlet, Quynh Thien Ward, Hoang Mai Town.

At that time, Ms. Van Thi Van (38 years old, residing in Tan Son block, Quynh Thien ward, Hoang Mai town) was driving her motorbike with license plate 37F7-0646 across a level crossing after dropping her child off at school. Due to a lack of observation, Ms. Van was hit by train TN8 traveling from Saigon to Hanoi.

After the collision, the train dragged the motorbike for about 8 meters, and Ms. Van was seriously injured. The train stopped in time and the victim was taken to the hospital for emergency treatment.

Police in Hoang Mai town were present at the scene to investigate the cause of the accident.
