Nearly 300 more Vietnamese citizens brought back from Russia

On December 4 and 5, 2020, Vietnamese authorities, the Vietnamese Embassy in the Russian Federation and Tre Viet Airlines coordinated with Russian authorities to bring nearly 300 Vietnamese citizens home.

Among them are children under 18 years old, the elderly, the sick, workers whose visas and labor contracts have expired, and international graduates with no place to stay due to school and dormitory closures.

To successfully organize the flight as planned, the Vietnamese Embassy in the Russian Federation closely coordinated with local authorities to support procedures, create favorable conditions for citizens to travel to the airport; and sent staff to the airport to directly assist citizens during the check-in process.

During the flight, passengers and the entire flight crew strictly followed regulations on disease prevention, control, and epidemiological hygiene. All passengers were also quarantined and medically examined according to regulations when the plane landed at Cam Ranh airport.
