Putting the Nghi Thiet Cement Grinding Plant into operation.

To expedite the completion of the key grinding plant project as planned, for many months, the leaders of The Vissai Cement Group, from the Chairman of the Group to every officer and worker, have been closely monitoring the construction site.

Before the Nghi Thiet Cement Grinding Plant officially commenced operations, Mr. Hoang Manh Truong – Chairman of the Group – spent a whole week at the construction site, directing and urging contractors to connect the various components. Sharing with the leaders of Nghe An province, Mr. Truong said: “I spent many sleepless nights closely monitoring the progress; I am very pleased that the grinding plant's production line, imported from the Federal Republic of Germany, has been successfully connected with thousands of components.”

This is the first of three lines at the grinding plant, with a capacity of 300 tons of cement per hour, which will officially begin operation on the afternoon of April 29th, coinciding with the 42nd anniversary of the liberation of Southern Vietnam and the reunification of the country. This event marks a significant milestone for The Vissai Cement Group, especially after receiving information that President Tran Dai Quang, along with central and provincial leaders, will attend the ceremony to officially start the production line.

Along with completing the installation of the cement grinding plant, The Vissai Cement Group is directing the acceleration of the construction of the transportation system in the area and the development of the campus landscape with trees and lawns, creating a new look for the Nghi Thiet coastal area.

Over the past few months, especially since the beginning of April 2017, Mr. Nguyen Ngoc Oanh – General Director of The Vissai Cement Group and Mr. Dinh Quoc Quyen – General Director of Song Lam Cement Joint Stock Company have regularly worn protective clothing and slept on the construction site. Despite the busy work and the harsh climate of the Nghi Thiet coastal area, the leaders of the group and company always showed joy and enthusiasm as the project progressed well each day.

To date, thanks to the joint efforts of The Vissai Cement Group and nearly 800 workers from 7 contractors, the first grinding plant has been completed, and the silo columns for storing powdered cement and the bagging line have also reached over 97% completion. Simultaneously, Nghi Thiet International Port has basically completed girder launching and span connection, and is currently constructing the final items.

The goal of putting the first production line of the Nghi Thiet Cement Grinding Plant into operation by April 30th this year was set by the leaders of The Vissai Cement Group three months ago. Based on that, the group's leaders regularly held meetings with contractors, promptly mobilizing manpower and equipment to install the production line as required.

In every forum, Mr. Hoang Manh Truong consistently affirmed his determination: “The Song Lam Cement Plant, along with the grinding station system and Nghi Thiet seaport, is a key project of the Group and of the entire country. Bringing these projects into operation quickly is even more significant in promoting the socio-economic development of the North Central provinces. This is one of the strategies for us to expand into the global market…”
