Germany rejects Trump's proposal on defense spending limits.

German Economy Minister Robert Habeck has rejected a proposal by US President-elect Donald Trump for NATO members to increase their defense spending to 5% of GDP. In an interview with the Funke media group published on January 9, Habeck called the goal "unrealistic".
