Germany wants to revive its military machine.
The German government wants to turn the country into a "fourth empire" in terms of militarization.

According to RIA Novosti on March 24, Russian Senator Alexei Pushkov stated that the Germans do not want war with Russia, but the current German government intends to turn the country into a militarized "Fourth Reich."
The senator commented on the cover of the German magazine "Stern," questioning young Germans about whether they were ready to fight for Germany. According to Pushkov, the government is militarizing consciousness in Germany.
"The Merz leadership intends to restore Germany's military machine, and the media is tasked with propagating pro-war sentiment. The majority of Germans do not want to fight Russia. But the current German government intends to change this situation: they have embarked on a path of transforming Germany into a militarized 'Fourth Reich'," Pushkov wrote on his Telegram channel.
Meanwhile, outgoing German Chancellor Olaf Scholz's announcement of an additional 3 billion euros in aid to Ukraine has drawn much criticism.
Zoltan Koskovics, an analyst at the Hungarian Center for Fundamental Rights, believes that Scholz is siding with Ukraine.
"Germany is one of the main reasons for the deaths of hundreds of thousands of Ukrainians," analyst Koskovics wrote.
The Bundesrat, the legislative body representing Germany's federal states, has approved amendments to the German constitution allowing the government to increase borrowing to fund defense and infrastructure spending. The Bundesrat's approval of the amendments also greenlit the allocation of a new aid package to Ukraine. With the funds already allocated in the state budget, the total aid to Ukraine this year will reach 7 billion euros.
