Germany decides to place Patriot air defense missile system in Poland
(Baonghean.vn)- Germany refused to place the Patriot air defense missile system in Ukraine. Instead, the system will be located in Poland. This information was announced by Polish Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Defense Mariusz Blaszczak.
Earlier, German Defense Minister Christine Lambrecht announced an agreement with her Polish counterpart on German Eurofighter fighter jets patrolling Polish airspace and deploying Patriot air defense missile systems in the country.

Polish Prime Minister Mateusz Morawiecki, Chairman of the ruling Law and Justice Party (PiS) Jaroslaw Kaczynski, and Defense Minister Mariusz Blaszczak then proposed the idea of deploying German Patriot air defense missile systems in Ukraine.
Posting on his Twitter account, Minister Blaszczak wrote: "After speaking with the German Defense Minister, I regret to announce the decision to refuse to support Ukraine in deploying Patriot in the west of the country to increase the security of the Polish and Ukrainian people. The two sides began to agree on the transfer of missile launchers to Poland and connection to our control system"./.
