Germany will begin producing long-range missiles capable of striking Russia.
Germany, France, Italy, and Poland want to develop long-range missiles that could reach Russian targets from German territory.

According to RIA Novosti, information from the German newspaper FAZ indicates that Germany, France, Italy, and Poland want to develop long-range weapons with a range of over 1,000 km. These weapons could reach Russian targets from German territory.
"This weapon can strike targets in Russia from German territory," the FAZ article stated.
According to FAZ, the defense ministers of the four countries signed a declaration on the idea of developing high-precision long-range weapons on the sidelines of the NATO summit in Washington.
Germany's plan to develop a high-precision weapons system has been confirmed by Chancellor Olaf Scholz. According to Scholz, this is reflected in the German government's security strategy as well as in future agreements with the UK and France.
The German Chancellor also called the US intention to deploy long-range weapons systems on German territory a very correct decision. When asked whether this would draw Berlin into a new arms race with Moscow, Chancellor Scholz replied that Russia already possesses “incredible weapons,” including those that threaten Europe. According to the German leader, the deployment of US missiles will help to deter Russia.
Previously, on July 10th, the Pentagon announced that it would begin deploying long-range strike systems in Germany starting in 2026. This system will be significantly superior to those already in place in Europe.
German Defense Minister Boris Pistorius announced that these systems would be deployed on a rotational basis at German military facilities. This would give Berlin time to develop its own similar systems.
Russian Deputy Foreign Minister Sergei Ryabkov responded that Russia would develop its military response to such plans calmly, without tension and without emotion.
