The incident occurred at 1 AM that same day. Two groups of young men, nearly 20 in total, armed with weapons and Molotov cocktails, arranged to meet to settle a dispute on Pham Van Thuan Street.

Upon reaching the area in front of the Tan Mai Ward People's Committee office, the individuals engaged in a fight. During the brawl, one group threw Molotov cocktails at the opposing group. The incident terrified many passersby and caused traffic to temporarily halt for about 10 minutes.
According to some residents, several loud explosions were heard during the brawl between the two groups. Initial investigations by the police determined that the individuals involved in the fight were young and that the conflict stemmed from a romantic dispute, which they arranged to resolve in the area. Bien Hoa City Police are continuing to pursue the remaining individuals involved in the brawl.
