On May 3, Dien Chau District Police announced that they had arrested Cao Van Hung, residing in Dien Bich Commune, Dien Chau District, for disturbing public order and illegally using a gun.

On the afternoon of April 12, while attending a wedding in Dien Yen commune, Cao Van Hung's group had a conflict and scuffle with Pham Trung Hieu (residing in hamlet 16, Dien Yen commune), causing Hieu to be injured.

Hung offered to take Hieu to the hospital, but Hieu said, "I despise you." Hieu's family then took him to Phu Dien General Hospital for treatment.

That same evening, Hung and his accomplices took K50 submachine guns with round-shaped bullets to the emergency department of Phu Dien General Hospital to look for Hieu. Not seeing Hieu, Hung used the gun to fire 4 shots into the ceiling of the emergency department. After firing, Hung and his accomplices fled the area.

Considering that Hung is a dangerous and reckless criminal, often uses firearms, has 6 previous convictions for causing injury and gambling, Dien Chau District Police issued a wanted notice and established a special project to arrest Hung and his accomplices.

On April 25, when Hung had just returned to Dien Chau, he was arrested by the police. At the investigation agency, Hung confessed to his crime.

On May 2, through Hung's testimony, Dien Chau District Police seized the gun that Hung used at a resident's house in Hop Thanh Commune (Yen Thanh).

Currently, the investigation agency is completing the case file to prosecute Cao Van Hung for disturbing public order and illegal use of weapons.
