According to her family, Ha Thi Chuong is 81 years old this year. She lives in Khe Ran village, Bong Khe commune, Con Cuong district (Nghe An) and fell for nearly 2 weeks. The fall caused her to suffer from prolonged pain, but her family only let her stay at home and apply herbal medicine. Seeing that her condition did not improve, her family took her to the hospital.

Ms. Luong Thi May, Mrs. Chuong's daughter-in-law, said that the family had to use a buffalo cart to transport the old woman to the hospital. The reason the family decided to choose this reluctant means of transport was because the road to the hospital was too muddy, and no taxi would take the patient, even though Mrs. Chuong's house was less than 2km from the hospital.

The hospital medical staff quickly brought the patient to the emergency room on a stretcher. It was quite difficult to get the old lady onto the stretcher and pushed her to the emergency room. Meanwhile, the old lady kept complaining of pain.

The 800m long road connecting National Highway 7A is a project attached to the Southwest Nghe An Regional Hospital, built in 2009. The hospital has been in operation for 7 years but the road is still under construction. Every time it rains, patients and hospital staff encounter countless difficulties when traveling on this road. Many motorbikes fall into the mud right in front of the hospital gate.
