(Baonghean.vn) - Sentenced to two years in prison for drug trafficking but granted a suspension of sentence due to having a young child, Thuy reverted to her old ways.

On March 9th, at Dien Truong commune, the Dien Chau District People's Court held a mobile trial for the case of illegal drug trafficking against Vu Thi Thuy (born in 1986, residing in Dien Truong commune, Dien Chau district).

On September 30, 2016, Vu Thi Thuy was caught red-handed by the Dien Chau District Police while illegally buying, selling, and possessing 17.3 grams of synthetic drugs at her private residence. Due to Vu Thi Thuy's blatant disregard for the law, the court sentenced her to 6.5 years in prison.

Previously, in 2012, Vu Thi Thuy was sentenced to two years in prison by the Dien Chau District People's Court for drug trafficking, but the sentence was suspended because she was raising a young child under 36 months old.

Showing no remorse or repentance, Vu Thi Thuy continued down the path of trafficking in deadly drugs. The total sentence for the defendant is 8.5 years in prison.
