On March 9, in Dien Truong commune, Dien Chau District People's Court held a mobile trial on the case of illegal drug trafficking against Vu Thi Thuy (born in 1986, residing in Dien Truong commune, Dien Chau).

On September 30, 2016, Vu Thi Thuy was caught red-handed by Dien Chau District Police while illegally buying, selling, and storing 17.3 grams of synthetic drugs at her home. Due to Vu Thi Thuy's disregard for the law, the People's Court sentenced the defendant to 6.5 years in prison.

Previously, in 2012, for drug trafficking, Vu Thi Thuy was sentenced to 2 years in prison by the People's Court of Dien Chau district, but the sentence was postponed because she was raising a child under 36 months old.

Without repentance or reformation, Vu Thi Thuy continued to trade in white death. The total sentence for the defendant was 8.5 years in prison.
