Football betting ring with transactions worth 300 billion VND has been uncovered.
While serving a suspended sentence for gambling, a man in Thanh Hoa established a large-scale football betting ring.

Following an investigation, on January 12th, the Thanh Hoa City Police (Thanh Hoa province) dismantled a gambling ring operating online football betting with transaction amounts exceeding 300 billion VND.
Pham Quan Dung (40 years old), residing in Thanh Hoa city, is the ringleader of this network, along with 11 others who have been taken into criminal custody.The seized items included 17 mobile phones and other related evidence.
Police allege that two months ago, Dung started setting up a website and colluded with several other "subordinates" residing in various districts of Thanh Hoa province to establish a football betting ring.
At the time of his arrest, Dung was on probation for a gambling offense.
