Line transporting 1.5 tons of fireworks from abroad to Nghe An
Nghe An Province Police Department of Security Investigation is completing procedures to prosecute the case and prosecute 2 suspects in the transnational firecracker trafficking and trafficking case. About 1.5 tons of various types of firecrackers were seized.
The two defendants prosecuted are Hoang Canh Uoc (born in 1981), residing in Duc Co district, Gia Lai province, and Cao Thanh Hoa (born in 1994), residing in Pleiku city, Gia Lai province.
Previously, through the work of grasping the situation, the Economic Security Department of Nghe An Provincial Police discovered a line of transporting and trading illegal fireworks from abroad to Vietnam for consumption. With the determination to prevent this crime from afar, the Provincial Police leaders directed units to establish a special project to fight and destroy it.

Resolutely investigating and closely following the movements of the subjects, at 6:00 p.m. on May 14, 2025, in the area of Ho Chi Minh road (in Cao Son commune, Anh Son district), the Special Task Force coordinated with Cao Son commune police and Road Traffic Police Team No. 3 to successfully arrest the subjects: Hoang Canh Uoc (born in 1981), residing in Duc Co district, Gia Lai province and Cao Thanh Hoa (born in 1994), residing in Pleiku city, Gia Lai province, who were illegally transporting firecrackers.

It is worth mentioning that during the arrest, the subjects fought back fiercely in an attempt to escape. However, with a determined spirit, the authorities successfully arrested and transferred the subjects to headquarters. At the scene, they seized: 198 boxes of 49-round explosive fireworks, 768 boxes of 36-round explosive fireworks, an estimated 1.5 tons of explosive fireworks; 2 cars were the means used to transport the above prohibited goods.
At the Investigation Agency, the subjects admitted their crimes. Currently, the Investigation Security Agency of Nghe An Province Police is completing procedures to handle the case in accordance with the law.
