Exactly 10 years ago, Thuy Vi competed in the 2013 SEA Games in Myanmar and she was also the first player to win a Gold Medal for the Vietnamese wushu team. At the 2023 SEA Games, the female player from Hanoi continued to be successful at the 32nd SEA Games.

Thuy Vi is a veteran face in the Vietnamese wushu team.

"Before the competition, I also felt pressured and tried to concentrate as much as possible. Having to perform two performances to calculate the average score prevented the contestants from being careless. After the first performance, I saw that the score was as expected, so my second performance was more comfortable. Therefore, I showed all the best techniques in my performance," Thuy Vi expressed.

The Gold Medal is even more meaningful to the female boxer born in 1993 as today is her birthday. Sharing her feelings after the victory, Thuy Vi added:

"Today, my leaders and friends know it's my birthday, but they don't dare to congratulate me for fear of causing pressure. I'm very happy on my 30th birthday. I won my first Gold Medal at the 2013 SEA Games when I was only 20 years old, and now it's been 10 years.

Thuy Vi competed for 10 years at SEA Games.

I will cheer for my teammates, then go home and rest. I will still fight with all my might without giving my leadership and family a retirement date."

Thuy Vi is one of the most veteran faces in the Vietnamese wushu team. Including the Gold Medal at the 32nd SEA Games, she has won a total of 7 Gold Medals in the regional arena, in addition to the Gold Medals at the Asian, Asiad and world competitions./.
