Inter-commune road A35 connects Nghi Yen, Nghi Dong and Nghi Hung communes, then intersects National Highway 48E. The route is of great significance in socio-economic development, as well as ensuring national security and defense.

However, recently the road has deteriorated rapidly, the road surface is full of potholes. In some places, large ponds have formed, taking up the entire road, making it extremely dangerous for people to travel.

Mr. Bui Van Manh - Hamlet 2, Nghi Dong Commune said: "The most dangerous thing is on rainy days, the road is slippery, potholes and buffalo holes become puddles like traps for road users. We have to carry each truckload of dirt and gravel to build the road. At the same time, draining the water does not cause danger to traffic participants."

People drain the water to avoid endangering other road users.

Mr. Pham Van Loi - Hamlet 8, Nghi Dong Commune, a resident living right next to this road, said: "Households along both sides of the road are greatly affected. In the rainy season, the road is flooded, and in the dry season, it is dusty. I just hope that the authorities will soon upgrade it to create favorable conditions for people to travel."

Faced with this situation, the People's Committee of Nghi Dong commune has also had many solutions to temporarily fix the damage on this road. That is, the locality coordinated with the units that are constructing the N5 project to use stones to patch all the "buffalo potholes" and "elephant potholes" on the road surface of the route. Organized the filling of soil to supplement the eroded roadside, where the roadside is lower than the asphalt surface; maintained and dredged the drainage ditch, preventing the road from being flooded, affecting the roadbed structure.
