Dybala's goal came from the penalty spot after defender Mattia De Sciglio handled the ball inside the penalty area following a cross from the right wing by Lichtsteiner.

Earlier, Juventus also dominated and took the lead in the 30th minute thanks to a precise close-range finish from center-back Medhi Benatia, who was one-on-one with goalkeeper Donnarumma after a perfect pass from Daniel Alves.

However, due to complacency, Juventus conceded an equalizer to AC Milan at the end of the first half thanks to Carlos Bacca (43') with an accurate shot inside the penalty area after a quick counter-attack through the center.

Besides the goals from Benatia and Dybala, Juventus created more than a dozen chances towards AC Milan's goal. However, in a night of poor finishing, Juventus' strikers repeatedly missed crucial opportunities, with the ball hitting the post and crossbar twice.

With a 2-1 victory over AC Milan, Juventus solidified their top spot with 70 points and extended their lead over second-placed AS Roma to 11 points. AC Milan remained in seventh place with 50 points, seven points behind the Champions League qualification spots.
