EC-225: Vietnam's most advanced transport helicopter.

Priced at approximately 600 billion VND, the EC-225 is currently the most expensive and best helicopter in the Vietnam People's Air Force.

The EC-225 is one of the multi-purpose transport helicopters that the Vietnamese Ministry of Defence purchased from Eurocopter. It is considered one of the most modern long-range helicopters in the world today. Currently, a total of six are in active service with the Vietnamese military.

The Eurocopter EC-225 Super Puma Mk II+ helicopter owned by Vietnam is a version designed based on the Eurocopter AS332 Super Puma, with some improvements to the five main rotor blades to reduce vibration. The helicopter is equipped with two Turbomeca Makila turboprop engines mounted through the cabin.

The aircraft boasts several superior features in its electronic control systems and anti-icing system, which controls engine heating during operation in cold to very cold climates. Another improvement of the EC-225 is the installation of a modern cockpit control panel with integrated liquid crystal displays. The EC-225 has a crew of two; a length of 19.5 m; a rotor diameter of 16.2 m; a height of 4.97 m; an empty weight of 5,265 kg, and a maximum takeoff weight of 11,200 kg.

The aircraft is equipped with two Turbomeca Makila 2A1 engines, each with a power of 1,776 kW (2,382 shp), giving it a top speed of 275.5 km/h, a ferry range of 985 km, a service ceiling of 5,900 m, and a passenger capacity of 24.
