The Ministry of Finance warns of the appearance of fake Facebook pages using images and agency names to defraud people and businesses.

Recently, a fanpage named 'Ministry of Finance - Application Portal' was discovered to be using the logo, images and information of the Ministry of Finance. This page claims to be a representative agency with the function of supporting money recovery for victims of online fraud. However, this is a completely fake page.

The Ministry of Finance said that a Facebook page called "Ministry of Finance - Application Portal" has appeared, using the Ministry's images and information, claiming to be a representative agency to recover money for victims of online fraud. This is a fake page, people and businesses need to be extremely vigilant.

What is worrying is that this Facebook page has even been given a blue tick, making it easy for many people to trust it. The post asks people to provide personal information, transfer receipts and pay a “fee” to get back the lost money.

The Ministry of Finance confirmed that this is a scam and recommends not following any instructions from this page.

Warning from the Ministry of Finance

The Ministry of Finance recommends that people and businesses be wary of websites and fanpages impersonating agencies or leaders of the Ministry for profit. When detecting unusual signs, it is necessary to immediately notify the authorities for timely handling. The Ministry is currently coordinating with relevant units to investigate and clarify the counterfeit behavior.

In recent times, the Ministry of Finance has repeatedly warned about various forms of forgery. Previously, there was a fanpage 'Receiving, Processing, Recovery and Refund of Suspended Capital' (March 31, 2025), forging money recovery documents (April 15, 2025), forging seals, signatures of leaders and websites (May 30, 2025), or forging the Ministry of Finance's electronic information portal to spread false information (July 4, 2025).

Currently, the Ministry of Finance only publishes official information through the Electronic Information Portal at the addresshttps://www.mof.gov.vn/

This is the only channel for people and businesses to receive official information and avoid falling into scam traps on social networks.
