The Ministry of Finance has announced the appearance of a Facebook page called "Ministry of Finance – Application Reception Portal" that uses images and information from the Ministry, falsely claiming to be a representative agency to recover money for victims of online fraud. This is a fake page, and citizens and businesses need to be extremely vigilant.

What's alarming is that this Facebook page even has a blue verification badge, making it easy for many people to trust it. The posts urge people to provide personal information, bank transfer receipts, and pay a "fee" to get their lost money back.

The Ministry of Finance affirms that this is a scam and advises against following any instructions from this website.

Warning from the Ministry of Finance

The Ministry of Finance urges citizens and businesses to be vigilant against websites and fan pages impersonating the Ministry or its leaders for fraudulent purposes. Upon detecting any unusual activity, please immediately notify the authorities for timely action. The Ministry is currently coordinating with relevant units to investigate and clarify these fraudulent activities.

Over the past period, the Ministry of Finance has repeatedly issued warnings about various forms of fraud. Previously, there were instances of forgery involving a fanpage called 'Receiving, Processing, Recovering and Returning Outstanding Capital' (March 31, 2025), forged documents related to money recovery (April 15, 2025), counterfeit seals, signatures of leaders and websites (May 30, 2025), and impersonation of the Ministry of Finance's electronic portal to spread misinformation (July 4, 2025).

Currently, the Ministry of Finance only publishes official information through its electronic portal at the following address:https://www.mof.gov.vn/

This is the only channel for citizens and businesses to receive official information and avoid falling into scams on social media.
