The photo that Mr. Lien posted on his personal page was fabricated about a female teacher from Ha Tinh receiving officials. |
Previously, on November 18, Nguyen Lien's Facebook posted a photo of a man hugging a woman, with the comment: "People call these perverts, this is a photo of one of the 21 female teachers sent by the chairman of Hong Linh town and the town's Department of Education to receive guests who are Ha Tinh officials. You see the photo of an official forcing a female teacher during a reception that the head of the town's Department of Education said was normal...".
Besides comments expressing dissatisfaction with the "female teacher", many people pointed out that Mr. Lien used false illustrations.
Two days later, Mr. Lien reposted the apology status, admitting to having edited foreign photos to talk about the case of a female teacher in Ha Tinh who was sent to entertain guests. He then wrote a letter of apology to the leaders, the education sector and teachers of Hong Linh Town, and permanently deleted his personal Facebook page.
Mr. Lien used to be an editor of a magazine in Dak Nong province. He is currently a member of the Dak Nong Provincial Literature and Arts Association.
