| The photo that Mr. Lien posted on his personal page is a fabricated image of a female teacher from Ha Tinh province meeting with officials. |
Previously, on November 18th, Nguyen Lien posted a photo on Facebook of a man embracing a woman, accompanied by the comment: "People call these lecherous officials. This is a picture of one of the 21 female teachers sent by the chairman of Hong Linh town and the town's Education Department to entertain officials from Ha Tinh. Look at the image of the official forcing himself on the teacher during the reception, and the head of the town's Education Department says it's normal…".
Besides comments expressing disapproval of the "female teacher," many people pointed out that Mr. Lien used a misleading image as an illustration.
Two days later, Mr. Lien reposted the apology status, admitting to using a foreign photo to refer to the case of the female teacher in Ha Tinh who was allegedly forced to entertain guests. He then wrote a letter of apology to the leaders, the education sector, and the teachers of Hong Linh town, and permanently deleted his personal Facebook page.
Mr. Lien used to be an editor for a magazine in Dak Nong province. He is currently a member of the Dak Nong Provincial Association of Literature and Arts.
