The 2018 Ford Expedition has a top price of 1.8 billion VND.

Ford's new generation large SUV has announced pricing for all versions in the US market, ranging from $52,890 to $79,740.

The 2018 Ford Expedition large SUV is expected to arrive at dealerships this fall. The 2018 Expedition XLT starts at $52,890, an increase of approximately $4,570 compared to the previous generation.

Next up is the new MAX model – the replacement for the old Expedition EL, with a starting price of $55,580, an increase of $4,550. If purchasing the rear-wheel-drive 2018 Expedition, American customers will have to pay an additional $3,000.

The new FX4 trim level is priced at $63,155 (1.4 billion VND). This trim level comes with more features suitable for off-road driving, such as new 18-inch wheels and front/rear skid plates.

The Limited version starts at $63,780, an increase of $6,540. The 2018 Expedition Limited will cost $66,465, an increase of $6,575, if the MAX package is added.

Meanwhile, the Platinum version starts at $73,905 (1.7 billion VND). The corresponding figure for the top-of-the-line 2018 Expedition Platinum MAX 4x4 is $79,740 (1.8 billion VND), an increase of $8,640 (196 million VND).

All trim levels of the 2018 Expedition are equipped with the 3.5-liter EcoBoost V6 gasoline engine borrowed from the Explorer. In the XLT, MAX, and Limited trims, the engine produces a maximum power of 375 horsepower and a maximum torque of 637 Nm. The Platinum and Platinum MAX versions of the 2018 Expedition boast a maximum power of 400 horsepower and a maximum torque of 651 Nm. This is paired with a 10-speed automatic transmission. Customers can choose between rear-wheel drive or all-wheel drive.

The 2018 Expedition's interior offers 7 or 8 seats, depending on the option chosen. If customers opt for captain's chairs in the two rear rows, the 2018 Expedition becomes a 7-seater SUV. It also features 17 cup holders, 6 USB ports, Wi-Fi connectivity, and a host of other entertainment technologies. These features make the 2018 Expedition a more family-friendly SUV.

In the US market, the 2018 Expedition competes with the Chevrolet Suburban, Toyota Sequoia, and Nissan Armada.
