Ford introduces Explorer 2018
The large SUV has a slight design upgrade, added paint colors and options, and some new technology features.
The most notable exterior upgrades are the changes in the new grille and fog lights, the front and rear bumpers of the car also have differences. The 3.5 EcoBoost version uses a 4-exhaust system.

Ford also added four new paint color options including burgundy, tan, milky white and metallic blue, along with five new wheel options.
The Detroit-based automaker also integrated new technologies into the 2018 Explorer, including 4G LTE connectivity andWi-Fi hotspot supports up to 10 devices at the same time within a distance of 15 m. This connection allows users to establish a link with the vehicle remotely using the FordPass app on their phone to start, lock, unlock and locate the vehicle from almost anywhere.
In the 2018 version, Ford also provides Explorer with a safety and smart equipment package, including: active cruise controland collision warning with brake assist, hBlind spot warning system, rear cross traffic alert, lane keeping assist, active headlights and rain-sensing wipers.
Explorer 2018 still uses the machineis bringing profits to Ford. The standard version is a 2.3-liter EcoBoost 4-cylinder turbocharged engine with 273 horsepower at 5,600 rpm and maximum torque of 420 Nm at 3,000 rpm.
The Explorer Sport and Platinum versions use a 3.5-liter V6 EcoBoost twin-turbo engine that produces 365 horsepower at 5,500 rpm and 474 Nm of torque at 3,500 rpm. All power is transmitted to all four wheels through a 6-speed Select Shift automatic transmission.
The 2018 Ford Explorer will be available in the US and Canada this fall, with pricing yet to be announced. Ford is currently developing a new generation of the Explorer.
