Ford Mustang Immersive Experience 2025: A 360-degree experience.
American Icon: A Mustang Immersive Experience opens in Los Angeles, offering a 360-degree experience lasting approximately 45 minutes, with tickets starting at $34; it will then expand to Miami and Dallas after January.
Ford, along with Imagine Studios and Petersen Automotive Museum, presents American Icon: A Mustang Immersive Experience in Los Angeles, a 360-degree exhibition recreating the Mustang's 60-year journey. The experience lasts approximately 45 minutes, culminating in a 5-minute 4D segment; general admission tickets start at around $34. After running in Los Angeles through January, the show will move to Miami for the F1 Grand Prix in May, followed by Dallas, and potentially expanding to other cities.

From 1964½ to GT3 Daytona: The Mustang Story in Digital Light
The exhibition covers every aspect of the Mustang, from its initial design phase to the GT3 race car that will win the 2025 Daytona. The opening space is a minimalist white room where a 1964½ Mustang is displayed amidst digital projections covering the walls and floor, transporting viewers back to the 1964 World's Fair when the Mustang first debuted to the public.
The story continues, taking visitors to the assembly line in Dearborn, Michigan, along a journey across America, and even along the Venice Beach Boardwalk. The narrative intentionally maintains a fast pace and is highly visual, allowing viewers to quickly grasp the milestones in the development of the iconic pony car.
Dark Horse on a rotating platform and motion sickness warning
The next scene brings viewers back to the present with a Mustang Dark Horse placed on a rotating platform. The combination of projected images and the car's movement creates an interactive, video game-like effect. At times, the visual sensation may be off-balance; if you are prone to motion sickness, viewers should choose to sit instead of standing.

Mustang GTD and other rarely seen movie cars.
Next to it is a display area delving into the Mustang GTD, before entering a smaller exhibition room featuring Mustangs that have been featured on screen. Highlights include the 1967 fastback “Eleanor” from the remake of Gone in 60 Seconds, the Red Mist from Kick-Ass, and the Barricade police car from Transformers 2007. A 1973 convertible that appeared in The Mary Tyler Moore Show is also on display.
The Bullitt Mustang is conspicuously absent, but visitors can view negatives from the film on a wall honoring the Mustang's place in popular culture, alongside posters from Bond films to John Wick. The organizers intentionally selected some lesser-known models; the list may vary by city. They have also contacted cars from the Menace II Society and The Princess Diaries, and they may appear if arrangements are made.

The 4D climax with Anthony "Captain America" Mackie
The show concludes with a 5-minute 4D "euphoria," featuring seats that move in sync with the visuals, accompanied by wind and fog effects. This action sequence stars Anthony "Captain America" Mackie, who is also a Mustang enthusiast. As usual, the exit leads directly to the souvenir shop with many items bearing the Mustang logo.
Location, itinerary, and travel recommendations.
The exhibition is located in an industrial area on the edge of downtown Los Angeles, near the LA River, the same location that served as the setting for the "Go Baby Go" button in the 2000 remake of "Gone in 60 Seconds" and the scene where Greased Lightning confronts Hell's Chariot in "Grease" (1978). From here, it's just a few bridges to the Artists' District, Little Tokyo, and Downtown. When traffic is good, the Petersen Automotive Museum is less than 30 minutes away.

The entire experience lasts approximately 45 minutes. After its phase in Los Angeles through January, the program will move to Miami and run throughout the F1 Grand Prix in May, then to Dallas, and may expand to other cities. General admission tickets start at around $34.
