The construction worker craves drugs and the bitter end

(Baonghean.vn) – While working as a factory worker, Dung fell into drug addiction. Unable to quit, he went to buy drugs to use and was arrested by the police.

On March 30, Thai Hoa Town People's Court sentenced Le Tien Dung (50 years old, residing in Tham hamlet, Nghia Hoan commune, Tan Ky) to 40 months in prison for illegal possession of narcotics.

Previously, on January 29, detecting suspicious signs, Thai Hoa City Police stopped Dung's car for inspection. Police discovered a nylon bag containing 3.47 grams of heroin on Dung's person.

Dung told the police that while working as a construction worker in the North, he was drawn into drug use and became addicted from then on.

Returning home for Tet, because of his drug craving, Dung took a bus from his home to Thong Thu border gate (Que Phong) to find a source to buy drugs. There, Dung bought a package of heroin from an unknown person for 1.8 million VND.

After buying the goods, Dung took a bus to Que Phong District Bus Station, slept for a while, and then took a bus home. When he got home, Dung immediately took out some heroin to use.

At around 3:00 a.m. on January 29, while on the way to an acquaintance's house in Nghia Thuan commune, Thai Hoa town, he was arrested by the police.
