PSG drop Mourinho and choose Conte to replace Emery.

According to Le Parisien (France), the Paris Saint-Germain board has decided to choose Chelsea manager Antonio Conte to replace Unai Emery, rather than Jose Mourinho.

This season, PSG have been very impressive, currently leading the Ligue 1 table with 4 points more than second-placed AS Monaco. In the Champions League, the Parc des Princes club is the first club to secure a place in the knockout round.

Nevertheless, the Qatari owners are still planning to find a replacement for coach Unai Emery when the 2017-2018 season ends. Specifically, if he fails to lead PSG to win Ligue 1 and reach the Champions League semi-finals, Emery will be immediately sacked.

Even if he achieves the goals set by the club's management, Emery could still leave PSG at the end of this season, as his contract only runs until June 2018.

Recently, media outlets across Europe have reported on PSG's selection of Manchester United's Jose Mourinho. Some sources even claim that "Les Parisiens" have begun negotiations with Jorge Mendes, Mourinho's agent.

However, according to Le Parisien, Mourinho is not the name PSG is targeting. The name the Parisian club wants right now is Chelsea's Antonio Conte.

Entering this season, Conte's future at Stamford Bridge has always been in question, stemming from Chelsea's inconsistent performance. If he leaves "The Blues," the 48-year-old manager is likely to accept an offer to lead PSG.
