Galaxy Note 7 software update in Vietnam from September 22

Samsung Vina released a software upgrade update to fix the battery error problem on Galaxy Note 7.

The updated software limits the battery charging capacity to a maximum of 60% of the battery capacity on the affected Galaxy Note 7, to help reduce the risk of possible damage. In addition, the new version of the software has a new interface and battery level indicator icon, helping users understand the good battery condition of the Galaxy Note 7.

In Vietnam, the software upgrade was updated from 2:00 a.m. on September 22. The update process is done via wireless connection.

With the new Galaxy Note 7, the battery indicator is green in the notification bar, "Power off" screen, and "Always on" screen interfaces.

When seeing any green battery indicator icon in three locations, customers can rest assured that the device is safe to charge.

Previously, Samsung Vina also asked Vietnamese users to join the Galaxy Note 7 exchange program early. The applicable subjects are customers who purchased the device from August 19 to September 7. The implementation location is Samsung customer care centers, the registration period is until December 31. The Galaxy Note 7 return period is from October 1 to December 31.

Customers who register to exchange their device before October 1 will receive a new Galaxy A3 2016 in original packaging, to use as a replacement while waiting to receive the new Galaxy Note 7. After being exchanged for the new Galaxy Note 7, customers have two options: return the Galaxy A3 2016 or keep the A series smartphone and only need to pay 60% of the product value. The Galaxy A3 is currently priced at VND 5,690,000.
