Nearly 1 billion VND has been provided to support people in flood-affected areas.

(Baonghean.vn) - On October 21st and 22nd, 2016, as part of a charity program to support flood victims in Central Vietnam, titled "Returning to the Beloved Central Region," the Nguyen Gia Thao Charity Fund, in collaboration with the Minh Hong Event Organizing Center and many individuals, organizations, and overseas Vietnamese, visited and provided gifts and support to flood-stricken people in Ha Tinh and Quang Binh provinces.

Ms. Dang Thi Mai Huong, a native of Nghe An province and currently the Chairwoman of the Board of Directors of Cat Ba Island & Huu Nghi Hotel Joint Stock Company (Hai Phong), presents gifts to support flood victims.

On the morning of October 22nd, the delegation visited three communes: Loc Yen, Huong Do, and Phuc Trach in Huong Khe district (Ha Tinh province) and handed over 240 million VND in cash to support families affected by the recent floods.

Representatives of the Nguyen Gia Thao charity fund (Hai Phong City) presented gifts to support flood victims in Loc Yen commune, Huong Khe district (Ha Tinh province).

Representatives from Minh Hong Event Center presented gifts to households affected by floods in Loc Yen commune, Huong Khe district (Ha Tinh province).

Specifically, the delegation provided 30 million VND to a family of a fallen soldier whose house was swept away by floods in Loc Yen commune. Two other particularly disadvantaged families received two cows; and 20 million VND was given to patient Nguyen Thi The in Vinh Phuc village, Loc Yen commune, to help with medical treatment. In addition, the delegation distributed many gifts to support families in overcoming difficulties.

Charitable organizations donated calves to a family affected by the floods.

Next, the delegation visited, presented gifts, and provided support to households in Huong Thuy and Tuyen Hoa districts (Quang Binh province). The total value of money and gifts was approximately 800 million VND.
