Nearly 1 billion VND to support people in flood-affected areas

(Baonghean.vn) - On October 21 and 22, 2016, implementing a charity program to support flood victims in the Central region, called "Returning to the Beloved Central Region", Nguyen Gia Thao Charity Fund, together with Minh Hong Event Center, coordinated with many individuals, organizations, and overseas Vietnamese to visit and give gifts to support flood victims in the two provinces of Ha Tinh and Quang Binh.

On the morning of October 22, the delegation visited 3 communes: Loc Yen, Huong Do, Phuc Trach in Huong Khe district (Ha Tinh) and presented 240 million VND in cash to support families affected by the recent floods.

In particular, 30 million VND was provided to a martyr's family whose house was swept away by flood in Loc Yen commune. Two other extremely disadvantaged families were given 2 cows; and 20 million VND was provided to patient Nguyen Thi The in Vinh Phuc village, Loc Yen commune for medical treatment. In addition, the delegation presented many gifts to help families overcome difficulties.

The delegation then visited, presented gifts, and supported households in Huong Thuy and Tuyen Hoa districts (Quang Binh). The total amount of money and gifts was worth about 800 million VND./.
