Nearly 100 young people help villagers clear canals

(Baonghean.vn) - On the morning of July 24, the Tam Thai Commune Youth Union (Tuong Duong) organized a campaign to dredge canals in the fields to help people in Na Tong, Can, Canh Trap, and Lung villages.

Due to the impact of storm No. 2, water from streams rose, the irrigation canal system was buried by rocks and soil, making it impossible to drain water, causing prolonged flooding. In order to overcome the consequences caused by the storm, Tam Thai Commune Youth Union mobilized 90 youth union members from 4 villages including Na Tong, Lung, Canh Trap, Can to dredge canals in the 4 villages mentioned above. This is the irrigation canal system for dozens of hectares of rice fields of Tam Thai commune people.

With the spirit of volunteerism of the youth, after 1 day of work, the entire canal system of 4 villages has been cleared, dredged and cleared of rocks and water flows.
