Due to the impact of Typhoon No. 2, water levels in streams rose, and the irrigation canal system was buried under mud and rocks, preventing drainage and causing prolonged flooding. To mitigate the damage caused by the typhoon, the Tam Thai Commune Youth Union mobilized 90 young people from four villages – Na Tong, Lung, Canh Trap, and Can – to dredge the canals in these four villages. These canals provide irrigation for dozens of hectares of rice paddies in Tam Thai Commune.
