(Baonghean.vn) - On December 5th, nearly 1000 students from Nghe An University of Economics and other universities and colleges participated in blood donation at the "Sharing the Red Drop" voluntary blood donation event.Organized by Nghe An University of Economics in collaboration with the Provincial Center for Hematology and Blood Transfusion.

Nearly 1000 students from the University of Economics and other universities and colleges in Vinh City participated in the Voluntary Blood Donation Day.

The voluntary blood donation activities of the students are a noble and humane gesture aimed at sharing the difficulties with patients who need blood.

This is the third blood donation drive of the 2015-2016 academic year at Nghe An University of Economics, aimed at meeting the blood demand at the end of the year, a time when accidents and injuries often occur, requiring a large amount of blood replenishment while blood reserves are insufficient due to universities and colleges entering the exam preparation and Tet holiday periods.

Voluntary blood donation is a meaningful humanitarian activity of youth union members, demonstrating the noble gesture of "every drop of blood given saves a life."

On this occasion, the Voluntary Blood Donation Club of Nghe An University of Economics was commended by the Provincial Student Union for its outstanding achievements in promoting and encouraging blood donation.

The delegation from Nghe An University of Economics also awarded individuals who had achieved outstanding results in promoting and encouraging voluntary blood donation.
