Nearly 5 billion VND has been allocated to support victims of Agent Orange/dioxin in Nghe An province.
(Baonghean.vn) - On the morning of December 14th, the Association of Victims of Agent Orange/Dioxin in Nghe An province held a conference to summarize its work in 2023 and plan for 2024.

In 2023, the Provincial Association of Victims of Agent Orange/Dioxin successfully carried out its mission of caring for victims of Agent Orange/dioxin throughout the province, promoting awareness of the serious and long-term harm and consequences of Agent Orange/dioxin used by the US during the war of aggression against Vietnam; and mobilizing support for Agent Orange/dioxin victims through fundraising and assistance. As a result, the entire province mobilized support from agencies, businesses, and philanthropists to the association at all levels, totaling 4.98 billion VND.
During the Lunar New Year of the Rabbit 2023, the Association mobilized 4,142 gift packages, worth 1.537 billion VND, to support victims of Agent Orange/dioxin. The Association of Agent Orange/Dioxin Victims at all levels in Nghe An province truly serves as a pillar of solidarity, encouraging members and victims to overcome physical and mental difficulties and pain to rise up in life.

In implementing its tasks in the coming period, the Provincial Association of Victims of Agent Orange/Dioxin will continue to coordinate with departments, agencies, and localities to regularly do a good job of caring for and assisting victims, contributing to promoting the development of the association at all levels; coordinate with the Central Association and the Provincial Fatherland Front Committee to build houses of compassion, give gifts... to victims of Agent Orange/Dioxin; at the same time, continue to diversify forms of propaganda and mobilize organizations, units, businesses, and philanthropists to support and develop the fund to help and support victims of Agent Orange/Dioxin.


On this occasion, the Association awarded Certificates of Merit to collectives and individuals with outstanding achievements in 2023. The Nghe An Association of Victims of Agent Orange/Dioxin also reorganized its Executive Committee, Standing Committee, and Executive Board.
