Meet two beautiful and talented English-speaking female students at Phan School.
(Baonghean.vn) - Pretty, funny, and intelligent,That's the impression ofTwo female students have just won top prizes at the 3rd National English Talent Olympiad, Central and Central Highlands region.
Hoang Thai Cam Linh (First Prize winner) and Nguyen Tu Anh (Second Prize winner), both students of class 10C5, Phan Boi Chau High School.
These two girls are not "newcomers" to English competitions; they both have experience participating in numerous English exams at various levels with impressive track records!

Despite being only in 10th grade, with their impressive knowledge and achievements mentioned above, Cam Linh and Tu Anh were honored to be selected to represent the 11th grade students of Nghe An province at the 3rd National English Talent Olympic Competition for the Central and Central Highlands regions.
The two talented female students said that last school year, they also participated in this competition and achieved quite impressive results. Cam Linh won Third Prize and Tu Anh won Special Prize, so the pressure to maintain their performance and continue competing is considerable.
| In the English Talent Olympiad, contestants compete in three categories: "What's the topic?" (students view images and identify a common theme), "Are you a good communicator?" (watch videos on a given topic and analyze situations), and "Who's the best orator?" (a public speaking competition where contestants answer questions from the judges).The competition took place over two days, bringing together outstanding students from grades 5, 9, and 11 from 16 teams representing provinces and cities in the Central and Central Highlands regions. |
Speaking about their biggest impression of the competition, both Cam Linh and Tu Anh affirmed that it was the public speaking segment. In this segment, contestants took turns drawing a topic for their speech, had 10 minutes to think, and 5 minutes to present.
The limited time required each candidate to possess fluent English speaking skills, presenting compelling arguments and evidence, as well as a confident tone and demeanor, in order to achieve a high score.
Tú Anh recalled:
“My speech topic is: Which is more important, a life with knowledge or a life with money? This is a highly argumentative topic, requiring a lot of social information. I believe both are equally important, but knowledge must be the foundation. From knowledge comes awareness, and then people will have the motivation and methods to make money.”
As for Cam Linh, with her essay on the topic "The Importance of Friendship and the Qualities of a Good Friend," she confidently presented her viewpoint based on her own experiences in school life. Both essays received high marks from the judges, helping these two talented female students achieve a spectacular finish.

Sharing their secrets to excelling in foreign languages, Cam Linh and Tu Anh both agreed that the top secret is diligence and hard work, followed by confidently practicing listening and speaking regularly with friends, teachers, and the English-speaking community.
The two female students also jokingly added that everyone should find a fun and relaxing way to learn, such as listening to music, watching movies, or reading stories in English. This will help make learning a foreign language less daunting and more memorable.
Two beautiful and talented female students from Phan Boi Chau High School shared their future dreams with us. Cam Linh's biggest dream is to become a skilled doctor; while Tu Anh dreams of working in an English-speaking environment and opening an English center to help many young people in Nghe An province access this widely spoken language.
"But dreams are for the future. For now, we always strive to study well so as not to disappoint our parents and teachers, and to uphold the glorious tradition of Phan Boi Chau High School," Tu Anh affirmed.
