Meet the only Nghe An girl who just received the Kim Dong award

(Baonghean.vn) - Tran Khanh Linh, a 5E student at Thanh Chuong town primary school, is one of 55 outstanding Team Leaders from all over the country who were awarded the Kim Dong Award by the Central Committee of the Ho Chi Minh Communist Youth Union for the 2016-2017 school year and is the only Team Leader in Nghe An province to receive this noble award.

Born into a family with both parents being teachers, Khanh Linh determined that studying must be a top priority. She herself always consciously trains herself to become a good child and good student. Linh has brought joy to her family and teachers with her excellent results in studying and Team activities.

From grade 1 to grade 5, Khanh Linh was always an excellent student at Thanh Chuong Town Primary School. From grade 3 to grade 5, Khanh Linh was an excellent candidate in the school team participating in district-level competitions for excellent students in subjects such as Math, English, Violympic, or online English.

To achieve such high achievements, my simple secret is “when in class, pay attention to the teacher’s lecture, if you don’t understand clearly, boldly continue to ask the teacher and friends so as not to have gaps in knowledge. Thanks to that, when I get home, I don’t spend much time reviewing, but focus on learning and doing advanced exercises.”

Not only is she a good student and a good student, Khanh Linh is also an enthusiastic and dynamic class monitor and team leader. She has contributed to the development of the school's team movement through movements such as "Speaking good words, doing good deeds", "Small plans", "Circle of friends", "Lighting up dreams", "Red scarf chickens", "Pairs of friends progressing together".

Every day, in the first 15 minutes of class review, Linh and her friends in the Red Star team go to each class to check and remind them about hygiene, uniforms and self-study awareness. Linh has encouraged each team to form 2-3 pairs of friends in the form of good students helping and tutoring weak students... Thereby, helping students to study better and promote solidarity in the team.

For Khanh Linh, each activity is an interesting experience, bringing her many beautiful memories. Moreover, it helps Khanh Linh accumulate many skills such as: how to work in a team, be confident in front of a crowd, improve speaking skills, communication skills... Especially knowing how to arrange time "study when studying, play when playing", both studying well, participating fully in Team activities, and satisfying her passion for dancing, singing folk songs and being an MC.

Khanh Linh always leaves an impression in school competitions, as well as welcoming programs at the city and district levels, thanks to her ability to host eloquently, her sweet singing voice, and her ability to lead and direct attractive and unique performances.

Khanh Linh confided: “During my studies and Team activities, I have many profound memories. But the most memorable is the Mid-Autumn Festival in 2016, when I participated in a charity singing and dancing program in Ngoc Lam commune, a poor mountainous commune of Thanh Chuong district. I could not help but be moved when I saw the children here living in difficult and deprived lives.”

The young student hopes to participate in more charity programs to have the opportunity to help less fortunate peers.

She confided that the achievements she has made, in addition to her own efforts, are also due to the support, encouragement, and care of her parents, the guidance, mentorship, and care of her teachers, and the love of her friends. Khanh Linh shared that she will continue to contribute more to the Team organization, hoping that the Team will become stronger and stronger, and that all team members can develop their abilities when participating in Team activities. She hopes that the school will spend more time on Team activities, so that team members feel comfortable when participating in this useful playground.

When asked about her dream, Khanh Linh expressed her desire to become a good doctor to be able to treat patients with serious illnesses and patients in difficult circumstances.

“My hometown is still very poor, I feel sorry for many poor people who are sick but have no money for medical examination or treatment. I just want to contribute my small part to bring smiles and a healthy life to everyone”. Hopefully, with her talent and kind heart, this multi-talented girl will make her dream come true.
