Meeting to commemorate '15 years of innovation and development in Nghia Dan'

After 15 years since its separation to establish Thai Hoa town according to Government Decree 164/ND-CP dated November 15, 2007, Nghia Dan district has made many comprehensive advancements; building a new, modern, model administrative area and a new rural landscape, contributing to making the district a shining example in the Northwest Nghe An regional center.

Nghia Dan district has also attracted many projects such as: the industrial-scale dairy farming and milk processing project, which has completed phase 1 with $350 million, the largest project in Southeast Asia with widespread impact; the high-tech forest planting project and MDF wood processing plant ($110 million); the clean vegetable and fruit export project ($35 million)...

Industrial clusters are gradually forming in the district, such as: Phu Quy Industrial Park (Dong Hoi - Nghia Hoi) located on the road connecting Dong Hoi (Quynh Luu) - Thai Hoa; Nghia Long - Loc small industrial park... In 2022, the total value of production in the district and the average added value were estimated at 72.6 million VND/person/year; the district's budget revenue increased more than 15 times, from 14.23 billion VND in 2009 to 214.580 billion VND in 2022; the poverty rate decreased sharply from 23.12% (2008) to 4.07% (2022).

By 2022, Nghia Dan had 20 out of 22 communes achieving New Rural Area status, and 1 commune achieving advanced New Rural Area status. With a focus on developing high-tech agriculture, Nghia Dan has effectively implemented projects such as: “Developing advantageous fruit trees in Nghia Dan district linked with processing and product consumption, 2021-2025”; “Developing and improving the quality of agricultural cooperatives linked with promoting the implementation of the “One Commune One Product” (OCOP) program”; and “Continuing to concentrate and consolidate land, building a commodity-oriented, high-tech agricultural sector in Nghia Dan district, 2022-2025, with a vision to 2030”.

Over the past 15 years, the Nghia Dan District Party Committee has achieved the title of "Strong Party Committee" for 10 consecutive years (2008-2018); the district government, the Fatherland Front, and other mass organizations have consistently received commendations from the Central and provincial levels for their outstanding achievements. The people and officials of the district have been honored to receive the First Class Labor Medal twice from the Party and the State (in 2013 and 2018).
