Domestic coffee prices today
Domestic coffee prices in the Central Highlands region today, March 11, 2025, have risen again compared to yesterday, fluctuating between 130,000 and 131,000 VND/kg.
Accordingly, traders in Dak Nong province are buying coffee at the highest price of 131,000 VND/kg, a slight increase of 1,200 VND/kg compared to yesterday.
Similarly, the price of coffee in Dak Lak province is 131,000 VND/kg, an increase of 1,200 VND/kg compared to yesterday.
Coffee prices in Gia Lai province increased by 1,200 VND/kg and are trading at 130,800 VND/kg.
In Lam Dong province, the price of coffee increased by 1,000 VND/kg and reached 130,000 VND/kg.

In Dak Lak, Mr. Hoang Doanh Huu, CEO of Miss Ede coffee company, said that the high coffee prices over the past two years are causing difficulties for businesses processing finished products. With domestic raw coffee prices increasing by more than 300%, but the selling price of finished products unable to increase proportionally because the market does not accept such high prices, many businesses are under significant pressure.
Currently, the company has adjusted retail prices but can only increase them by a maximum of 20% compared to the period before the increase in raw material prices. This is a major obstacle, making it difficult for businesses to ensure profitability when input costs rise too rapidly.
Not only coffee, but other key agricultural products of Dak Lak such as durian and pepper have also recorded sharp price increases of 150-250% in the past two years. However, this creates a major challenge for export businesses. They have to compete fiercely to procure raw materials in order to fulfill previously signed contracts.
Meanwhile, consumers tend to cut back on spending, forcing domestic roasters to adapt to high raw material prices, even risking the appearance of low-quality products in order to keep selling prices from rising too high.
World coffee prices today
Coffee prices on the world market are also subject to many fluctuations:
Robusta coffee (London):
May 2025 delivery: Increased by $31/ton, to $5,384/ton.
July 2025 delivery: Increased by $25/ton, to $5,343/ton.
Arabica coffee (New York):
May 2025 delivery: Up 2.15 cents/lb, to 386.55 cents/lb.
July 2025 delivery: Up 3.05 cents/lb, to 377.3 cents/lb.
In the first four months of the 2024-2025 coffee season, global coffee exports reached 42.79 million bags, a 4.9% decrease compared to 45.01 million bags in the same period of the previous season. The supply shortage has led to a sharp increase in international coffee prices, impacting supply chains in many countries.
In Europe, soaring coffee prices have left some shelves at major retail chains empty. The Netherlands is one of the hardest-hit countries, with two leading supermarket chains, Albert Heijn and Jumbo, having to temporarily suspend imports of certain products from coffee giant JDE Peet's NV due to ongoing negotiations to renegotiate supply contracts.
A similar situation is occurring in Germany, where major supermarket chains like Edeka and Aldi Nord are struggling to continue importing goods. In Belgium, the retail group Colruyt has had to temporarily suspend orders from Jacobs Douwe Egberts to renegotiate prices.
JDE Peet's acknowledged that negotiations with retailers took longer than expected, but said it had reached agreements with 80% of its partners. The company's CEO, Rafael Oliveira, asserted that price increases were unavoidable due to rising raw material costs.
Sharing the same view, Cyrille Filott, global strategist at Rabobank, also believes that coffee prices will certainly continue to rise. "The question isn't whether they will rise, but by how much," he stated in an interview with Bloomberg.
