Coffee pricesGlobally, there is a clear divergence between robusta and arabica coffee. On the London exchange, the price of robusta coffee futures for July 2026 reached US$3,414/ton, up US$50 (+1.5%) from the previous week. The September 2026 contract was at US$3,302/ton, up US$27 (+0.8%). The increase was due to robusta inventories on the ICE exchange falling to their lowest level in 16.5 months.
On the New York exchange, the price of Arabica coffee for July 2026 delivery fell sharply by 12.3 US cents/pound (-4.3%) to 274.15 US cents/pound. The September 2026 contract fell by 9.6 US cents (-3.5%) to 266.3 US cents/pound. Pressure stemmed from the prospect of a bumper crop in Brazil.
