Coffee prices today, June 11, 2025: Rising sharply again.
Today, June 11th, domestic coffee prices are at 115,000 - 115,800 VND/kg. Coffee prices have surged again, increasing by 1,700 to 2,000 VND/kg compared to yesterday. May coffee prices fell sharply due to the simultaneous harvest season in Indonesia and Brazil.
Domestic coffee prices today
Domestic coffee prices in the Central Highlands region today, June 11, 2025, have risen sharply again, fluctuating between 115,000 and 115,800 VND/kg.
Accordingly, traders in Dak Nong province are buying coffee at the highest price of 115,800 VND/kg, a sharp increase of 2,000 VND/kg compared to yesterday.
Similarly, the price of coffee in Dak Lak province is 115,500 VND/kg, an increase of 1,700 VND/kg compared to yesterday.
Coffee prices in Gia Lai province increased by 2,000 VND/kg compared to yesterday and are trading at 115,500 VND/kg.
In Lam Dong province, the price of coffee increased by 1,800 VND/kg compared to yesterday, reaching 115,000 VND/kg.
Since the beginning of the week, domestic coffee prices have rebounded, increasing by approximately 2000 to 2300 VND/kg. However, compared to the beginning of 2025, current coffee prices are still 14,000 to 15,000 VND/kg lower. Nevertheless, compared to the same period last year (June 10, 2024), current prices are about 9,000 VND/kg higher.
According to the Vietnam Coffee and Cocoa Association (VICOFA), the coffee export market in May 2025 witnessed significant fluctuations, both in price and ranking of exporting companies. Coffee prices fell sharply this month due to Indonesia and Brazil simultaneously entering their robusta harvest season, leading to a substantial increase in global supply.
A highlight of the month was the change in the leading position of export businesses. Simexco (2-9 Dak Lak Import-Export Company Limited) surpassed other companies to become the largest exporter with a volume of 15,259 tons. Meanwhile, companies that previously held the top positions, such as Intimex Group Joint Stock Company and Vinh Hiep Company Limited, ranked second and fifth respectively.
World coffee prices today
Coffee prices on the world market fell slightly on both exchanges:
Robusta coffee (London):
July 2025 delivery: Decreased by $22/ton, to $4,500/ton.
September 2025 delivery: Down $56/ton, to $4,359/ton.
Arabica coffee (New York):
July 2025 delivery: Down 1.3 cents/lb, to 360.25 cents/lb.
September 2025 delivery: Down 1.15 cents/lb, to 358.25 cents/lb.
According to a report from the International Coffee Organization (ICO), the average global composite coffee price in May reached 334.4 cents/lb. This price decreased slightly by 0.4% compared to the previous month but is still 60.5% higher than the same period in 2024. However, this is also the lowest level in the past four months.
This decline was mainly due to robusta coffee prices, which fell 3.5% this month to 237.8 cents/lb. Conversely, arabica coffee prices saw slight increases. Brazilian arabica rose 0.5% to 380 cents/lb, Colombian arabica increased 0.4% to 395.6 cents/lb, and other arabica varieties gained 1.3% to 397.8 cents/lb.
On the futures market, robusta coffee prices on the ICE London exchange fell sharply by 4.7%, to only 224.6 cents/lb. Arabica prices on the ICE New York exchange decreased slightly by 0.6%, averaging 368.2 cents/lb. The price difference between the two exchanges continued to widen, increasing by another 6.6% in May, reaching 143.6 cents/lb. Coffee prices are constantly fluctuating and are still in the process of searching for a clear trend. Both supporting factors and downward pressure are having a mixed impact on the market.
