Coffee prices today, June 13, 2025: Continuing to fall further.
Today, June 13th, domestic coffee prices are at 111,500 - 112,000 VND/kg. Coffee prices have continued to fall by another 500 to 800 VND/kg compared to yesterday. However, prices remain higher than last year, so farmers are still making a profit.
Domestic coffee prices today
Domestic coffee prices in the Central Highlands region today, June 13, 2025, continued to fall, fluctuating between 111,500 and 112,000 VND/kg.
Accordingly, traders in Dak Nong province are buying coffee at a maximum price of 112,000 VND/kg, a slight decrease of 800 VND/kg compared to yesterday.
Similarly, the price of coffee in Dak Lak province is 112,000 VND/kg, a decrease of 500 VND/kg compared to yesterday.
Coffee prices in Gia Lai province decreased by 500 VND/kg compared to yesterday and are trading at 112,000 VND/kg.
In Lam Dong province, the price of coffee decreased by 500 VND/kg compared to yesterday, reaching 111,500 VND/kg.
In the domestic market, coffee prices have fallen by approximately 4,500 VND/kg since the beginning of the week. Compared to the peak in March 2025, current prices are 23,000-24,000 VND/kg lower, and about 18,000-19,000 VND/kg lower than at the beginning of the year.
Nevertheless, current coffee prices are still 6,000-7,000 VND/kg higher than the same period last year, allowing farmers to still earn a significant profit.
Experts believe this price drop is not unexpected, given that prices have remained unusually high recently. Besides seasonal factors, financial speculation and exchange rate fluctuations also contribute to global agricultural price trends, including coffee.
The short-term outlook for the coffee market remains uncertain. If harvesting progress in Brazil continues positively, coffee prices could fall further. The current situation is forcing many businesses to be more cautious in their trading and purchasing activities.
World coffee prices today
Coffee prices on the world market showed mixed movements on the two exchanges:
Robusta coffee (London):
July 2025 delivery: Increased by $24/ton, to $4,416/ton.
September 2025 delivery: Increased by $28/ton, to $4,319/ton.
Arabica coffee (New York):
July 2025 delivery: Down 2.35 cents/lb, to 384.3 cents/lb.
September 2025 delivery: Down 2.85 cents/lb, to 345.75 cents/lb.
According to Bloomberg, coffee prices continued to fall as market sentiment was dominated by the prospect of abundant supply, particularly from Brazil. Harvesting progress there is favorable, especially for robusta coffee, thanks to dry weather conditions.
According to the CEPEA research center at the University of São Paulo, approximately 45% of the robusta coffee crop in Espirito Santo state, Brazil's largest robusta-growing region, has already been harvested.
Conversely, the arabica coffee harvest is progressing more slowly. In Minas Gerais state, the main arabica producing region, only about 20% of the crop has been harvested. The acceleration of robusta supply, not only in Brazil but also in Indonesia, is putting downward pressure on prices across the market.
Laleska Moda, an expert from Hedgepoint Global Markets, believes that the increase in supply is putting significant pressure on coffee prices in the medium term. Although benchmark arabica inventories at ICE are decreasing and colder weather may temporarily support prices, in the long term, the market still faces a downward trend due to abundant robusta supply.
