Domestic coffee prices today

Domestic coffee prices in the Central Highlands region today, June 14, 2025, have slightly increased again, fluctuating between 112,300 and 113,000 VND/kg.

Accordingly, traders in Dak Nong province are buying coffee at the highest price of 113,000 VND/kg, a slight increase of 1,000 VND/kg compared to yesterday.

Similarly, the price of coffee in Dak Lak province is 112,800 VND/kg, an increase of 800 VND/kg compared to yesterday.

Coffee prices in Gia Lai province increased by 800 VND/kg compared to yesterday and are trading at 112,800 VND/kg.

In Lam Dong province, the price of coffee increased by 800 VND/kg compared to yesterday, reaching 112,300 VND/kg.

Domestic coffee prices are showing signs of a slight recovery after several days of stagnation. However, the price trend is still not clearly established and is considered to be in a "probing" phase; therefore, close monitoring of short-term fluctuations is necessary.

Experts recommend that farmers be cautious when selling their produce, prioritizing distributing goods in batches rather than releasing them all at once, in order to avoid the risk of a sudden and sharp drop in prices.

For export businesses, securing early price fixes for third-quarter delivery contracts is seen as a reasonable risk hedging measure given that global prices have yet to show signs of stable recovery.

On the international market, robusta coffee prices have recovered slightly from a one-week low due to short-covering and concerns about tightening supply. According to data from June 12, ICE-monitored robusta coffee inventories fell to just 5,184 lots, the lowest in three weeks.

World coffee prices today

Coffee prices on the world market have fallen sharply on both exchanges:

Robusta coffee (London):

July 2025 delivery: Decreased by $111/ton, to $4,286/ton.

September 2025 delivery: Decreased by $136/ton, to $4,178/ton.

Arabica coffee (New York):

July 2025 delivery: Down 3.9 cents/lb, to 343.9 cents/lb.

September 2025 delivery: Down 5.65 cents/lb, to 339.65 cents/lb.

In Brazil, producers in the Cerrado Mineiro region are experimenting with growing robusta coffee varieties to adapt to climate change and environmental risks.

According to the latest report from the Brazilian Institute of Geography and Statistics (IBGE), the country's coffee production in 2025 is estimated at 55.3 million bags (60 kg each), a 0.5% increase compared to last month's forecast. This slight increase comes from the expansion of cultivated area (+1.3%), offsetting the decline in yield (-0.8%).

However, compared to the same period last year, total Brazilian coffee production is expected to decrease by 3.1%, mainly due to a decline in arabica production. IBGE forecasts arabica production this year at around 37.2 million bags, up 0.6% from previous estimates but still 7% lower than in 2024, due to falling into the "low year" cycle for this variety.

Conversely, robusta production this year is projected to increase sharply, reaching 18.1 million bags, a 5.9% increase compared to last year, thanks to both increased yields and expanded harvested area.
