Domestic coffee prices today
Domestic coffee prices today, August 15, 2025, in the Central Highlands region increased dramatically like never before, fluctuating between 111,000 - 111,600 VND/kg.
Accordingly, traders in the old Dak Nong region are purchasing coffee at the highest price of 111,600 VND/kg. Continuing to increase sharply by 3,400 VND/kg compared to yesterday.
Similarly, coffee price in Dak Lak province is 111,500 VND/kg, an increase of 3,500 VND/kg compared to yesterday.
Coffee prices in Gia Lai province increased by VND3,400/kg compared to yesterday and were traded at VND111,200/kg.
In Lam Dong province, coffee prices increased by 3,700 VND/kg compared to yesterday and are at 111,000 VND/kg.

Domestic and international coffee prices are experiencing an unprecedented surge. The main reasons are scarce supply, low inventory, high transportation costs and global trade factors. This has pushed coffee prices to record levels, putting great pressure on roasters and consumers.
Many expect coffee prices to hit VND135,000/kg, the peak of 2024, despite Vietnam entering its harvest season. The high prices are good news for farmers but pose difficulties for trading and manufacturing enterprises due to capital pressure and reduced business efficiency.
Thang Loi Coffee Joint Stock Company (code CFV) has just announced that its profit in the second quarter of 2025 was only VND583 million, down 97% compared to the same period last year, although its revenue increased by 93% to VND191.5 billion. The reason is that domestic coffee prices have increased dramatically, purchasing is difficult, and the cost of goods sold has increased by 136%.
Another factor is that in the second quarter of 2024, the company still had inventory from the previous crop at a good price, so profits increased abnormally. This made this year's business results significantly worse in comparison.
World coffee prices today
On the London Stock Exchange, the online price of Robusta coffee futures for September 2025 delivery closed the trading session on August 14 at $4,040/ton, up 2.72% ($107/ton) from the previous session. However, the November 2025 futures contract increased by 3.11% ($118/ton) to $3,917/ton.
On the New York Stock Exchange, the price of Arabica coffee for September 2025 delivery increased sharply by 0.56% (1.8 US cents/pound) to 321.4 US cents/pound. The contract for December 2025 delivery increased by 0.66% (2.05 US cents/pound) to 314.7 US cents/pound.
World coffee prices rose sharply in this trading session due to information that frost in Brazil affected production, especially the upcoming crop. In addition, the 50% tax imposed on Brazilian coffee caused Robusta prices to increase even more.
In mid-August 2025, domestic and international coffee prices increased simultaneously. Robusta coffee for September delivery reached 3,933 USD/ton, while purchasing prices in the Central Highlands were also high due to scarce supplies. Exporters are rushing to purchase to complete contracts.
The main reason for the price increase is the tight global supply. Adverse weather conditions such as drought, heat and pests have severely affected production in Brazil, Vietnam and other producing countries. In the Central Highlands, mealybugs are rampant due to high temperatures and low humidity.
Climate change, rising demand, low inventories, high transportation costs and trade policies have created a storm of coffee prices. Analysts predict that prices will have difficulty falling in the short term and may even reach new highs if supply does not improve.
