Domestic coffee prices today

Domestic coffee prices in the Central Highlands region today, June 17, 2025, continued to decrease slightly, fluctuating between 111,600 and 112,000 VND/kg.

Accordingly, traders in Dak Lak province are buying coffee at a maximum price of 112,000 VND/kg, a slight decrease of 500 VND/kg compared to yesterday.

Similarly, the price of coffee in Dak Nong province is 112,000 VND/kg, a decrease of 300 VND/kg compared to yesterday.

Coffee prices in Gia Lai province decreased by 500 VND/kg compared to yesterday and are trading at 111,800 VND/kg.

In Lam Dong province, the price of coffee decreased by 400 VND/kg compared to yesterday, reaching 111,600 VND/kg.

According to statistics from the Customs Department, in May 2025, Vietnam's coffee exports reached 148,762 tons, earning $859.91 million. Compared to the same period in 2024, volume decreased by 10.7%, and export value decreased by 11%. The average export price in May was $5,780.4 per ton, a slight decrease of 0.3% compared to the previous year.

In the first five months of 2025, Vietnam exported 823,908 tons of coffee, generating over $4.7 billion in revenue. Compared to the same period in 2024, the export volume increased slightly by 0.8%, but the value surged by 65.7%, thanks to an average export price of $5,709.5 per ton – a significant increase of 64.3%.

In the first five months of 2025, Germany continued to be Vietnam's largest coffee export market, accounting for 16.7% of the total volume and 16.3% of the total value. Specifically, Vietnam exported 137,825 tons of coffee to Germany, earning US$765.11 million at an average price of US$5,551 per ton. Compared to the same period in 2024, volume increased by 32%, value increased sharply by 118.8%, and export price increased by 65.7%.

Italy ranks second among Vietnam's coffee export markets. Vietnam exported 69,643 tons of coffee to Italy, valued at US$371.93 million, with an average price of US$5,340.5 per ton. This accounted for 8.5% of Vietnam's total export volume and 7.9% of its total export value. Spain ranked third, exporting 59,679 tons of coffee, equivalent to US$348.15 million. This market share represented 7.2% of the total volume and 7.4% of the total export value nationwide.

World coffee prices today

Coffee prices on the world market fell slightly on both exchanges:

Robusta coffee (London):

July 2025 delivery: Down $41/ton, to $4,397/ton.

September 2025 delivery: Down $62/ton, to $4,225/ton.

Arabica coffee (New York):

July 2025 delivery: Up 4.2 cents/lb, to 345.5 cents/lb.

September 2025 delivery: Up 4.5 cents/lb, to 341.5 cents/lb.

Coffee prices for June and July 2025 are forecast to remain highly volatile. Geopolitical tensions in the Middle East, particularly following Israel's attack on Iranian nuclear facilities, are raising concerns about potential disruptions to shipping through the Strait of Hormuz. The risk of supply chain disruptions due to the renewed activity of the Houthi group could also drive up logistics costs, directly impacting export coffee prices.

In addition, investors are closely monitoring developments at the G7 Summit and the policies of major central banks around the world such as the Fed, BOJ, BOE, and PBOC. Maintaining interest rates in key economies will help guide global financial trends and could indirectly impact commodity markets, including coffee.

Furthermore, the European Union's Anti-Deforestation Act (EUDR) has been postponed to December 30, 2025. This will significantly impact agricultural products, including coffee, as it will tighten requirements for traceability and supply chain transparency. The 12-month extension gives businesses and farmers more time to prepare, but it also places stricter demands on export activities at the end of the year.
