Coffee prices today, September 17, 2025: Sharp increase across the board.
Coffee prices today, September 17th, are at 122,200 - 122,800 VND/kg, a sharp increase of 2,600 to 2,800 VND/kg across the board. Coffee prices on both world exchanges have fallen sharply.
Domestic coffee prices today
Domestic coffee prices in the Central Highlands region today, September 15, 2025, increased sharply compared to yesterday, fluctuating between 122,200 and 122,800 VND/kg.
Accordingly, traders in the former Dak Nong region are buying coffee at the highest price of 122,800 VND/kg, a sharp increase of 2,800 VND/kg compared to yesterday.
Similarly, the price of coffee in Dak Lak province is 122,700 VND/kg, an increase of 2,700 VND/kg compared to yesterday.
Coffee prices in Gia Lai province increased by 2700 VND/kg compared to yesterday and are trading at 122,500 VND/kg.
In Lam Dong province, the price of coffee increased by 2600 VND/kg compared to yesterday, reaching 122,200 VND/kg.
Coffee prices on both international exchanges rose sharply as the market bet on the possibility that the US Federal Reserve (Fed) will cut interest rates this week. The weakening US dollar also contributed to the upward trend in coffee prices.
Another factor driving up coffee prices is the European Union's Anti-Deforestation and Forest Degradation Act (EUDR), which will come into effect on December 30, 2025. This regulation could exclude many coffee-producing regions from the EU supply chain, forcing roasters to increase their purchases for stockpiling.
On the morning of September 16th, Mr. Nguyen Nam Hai, Chairman of the Vietnam Coffee and Cocoa Association (VICOFA), announced that the association is organizing a trade promotion delegation to the United States and Canada. During this trip, the delegation met with the Chairman of the American Coffee Association, the Chairman of the Specialty Coffee Association, and numerous coffee businesses in both countries.
The goal of the trip is to promote Vietnamese coffee, because currently, consumers around the world, especially in the US and Canada, are still not very familiar with Vietnamese coffee products.
World coffee prices today
At the close of trading on September 16th on the London exchange, the price of robusta coffee futures for September 2025 delivery reached US$5002/ton, down 0.79% (US$40/ton) compared to yesterday. The November 2025 futures contract fell 1.45% (US$70/ton) to US$4772/ton.
On the New York Stock Exchange, the price of Arabica coffee for September 2025 delivery fell 0.24% (1.05 US cents/pound) compared to yesterday, to 431.3 US cents/pound. The December 2025 contract rose 0.1% (0.4 US cents/pound), reaching 418.05 US cents/pound.
On the Brazilian exchange, the price of Arabica coffee for September 2025 delivery rose 5.61% (28.7 US cents/pound) compared to yesterday, reaching 540.4 US cents/pound. The December 2025 contract increased 0.05% (0.25 US cents/pound), reaching 505.65 US cents/pound.
