Coffee prices today, July 19, 2025: Prices have slightly decreased again.
Today, July 19th, domestic coffee prices are at 91,800 - 92,000 VND/kg, a slight decrease of 200 to 500 VND/kg compared to yesterday. The recent price fluctuations are believed to be driven by the manipulation of major players on the market.
Domestic coffee prices today
Domestic coffee prices in the Central Highlands region today, July 19th, saw a slight decrease, fluctuating between 91,800 and 92,000 VND/kg.
Accordingly, traders in Lam Dong province are buying coffee at 92,000 VND/kg, a slight decrease of 500 VND/kg compared to yesterday.
Similarly, the price of coffee in Dak Lak province is 92,000 VND/kg, a decrease of 500 VND/kg compared to yesterday.
Coffee prices in Gia Lai province decreased by 300 VND/kg compared to yesterday and are trading at 92,000 VND/kg.
Meanwhile, in Lam Dong province, specifically in Bao Loc Ward 1, Hoa Ninh Commune, Duc Trong Commune, and Dinh Van Lam Ha Commune, the price of coffee decreased by 200 VND/kg compared to yesterday, reaching 91,800 VND/kg.
The coffee market has been fluctuating wildly in recent days. Many experts believe the main reason is that major players on international exchanges are creating volatility, causing coffee prices to fluctuate abnormally.
Meanwhile, the actual coffee trading market is quite quiet because domestic coffee prices are higher than world coffee prices.
World coffee prices today
On the London exchange, online robusta coffee futures contracts for September 2025 closed this morning's trading session (July 19th) at $3,314 per ton, up 0.06% ($2 per ton) from yesterday's session; contracts for November 2025 increased 0.27% ($9 per ton), reaching $3,297 per ton.
Similarly, on the New York exchange, compared to yesterday, the price of Arabica coffee futures for September 2025 delivery decreased by 1.29% (3.95 US cents/pound), to 303.25 US cents/pound; the contract for December 2025 delivery decreased by 0.95% (2.85 US cents/pound), reaching 295.85 US cents/pound.
Recently, the price of Vietnamese exported coffee has increased sharply due to scarce supply. However, this has led to a loss of market share in some international markets, even though the total export value has reached record levels.
According to data from South Korean customs, in the first five months of 2025, the country imported a total of 88,129 tons of coffee, a 4.1% increase compared to the same period last year. Coffee was imported from 48 countries and territories, with Brazil, Vietnam, Colombia, Ethiopia, and the United States being the main suppliers. However, while imports from Brazil increased, imports from Vietnam decreased.
Specifically, Vietnam was the second largest supplier of coffee to South Korea in the first five months of this year, with 18,100 tons of coffee worth $86.4 million. Compared to the same period in 2024, the volume decreased by 3.9%, but the value increased by 54.8%.
Despite maintaining its important position, Vietnam's market share of South Korea's total coffee imports decreased from 22.25% in the first five months of 2024 to 20.53% in the same period of 2025. This reflects increasing competitive pressure in the international market, especially as Vietnamese coffee prices have risen higher than those of its competitors.
