Coffee prices today, July 2nd, 2025: Continuing to rise slightly.
Today, July 2nd, domestic coffee prices are at 94,300 - 94,700 VND/kg. Coffee prices continue to increase slightly by 100 to 200 VND/kg compared to yesterday. In the first six months of 2025, Vietnam's coffee exports reached 5.5 billion USD, setting a new record and achieving the year's target ahead of schedule.
Domestic coffee prices today
Domestic coffee prices in the Central Highlands region today, July 2nd, 2025, continued to increase slightly, fluctuating between 94,300 and 94,700 VND/kg.
Accordingly, traders in Dak Lak province are buying coffee at the highest price of 94,700 VND/kg, a slight increase of 200 VND/kg compared to yesterday.
Similarly, the price of coffee in Dak Nong province is 94,700 VND/kg, an increase of 200 VND/kg compared to yesterday.
Coffee prices in Gia Lai province increased by 100 VND/kg compared to yesterday and are trading at 94,500 VND/kg.
In Lam Dong province, the price of coffee increased by 100 VND/kg compared to yesterday, reaching 94,300 VND/kg.
According to information from the Ministry of Agriculture and Environment, in the first six months of 2025, Vietnam's coffee exports reached US$5.5 billion, setting a new record and achieving the year's target ahead of schedule. This is an impressive result, reflecting the competitiveness of Vietnam's coffee industry in the global market.
However, since the majority of coffee production is concentrated in the harvest season from December to April of the following year, exports in the latter months of the year may decrease compared to the first half. It is projected that total coffee export revenue for the whole year of 2025 could reach US$7.5 billion, an increase of 36.9% compared to 2024.
Coffee prices rose slightly at the start of the week's trading session. Despite the weakening US dollar, this did not significantly support coffee prices. The market was dominated by favorable weather information from Brazil, facilitating the harvest and putting downward pressure on prices on both international exchanges.
World coffee prices today
Coffee prices on the world market showed mixed movements on the two exchanges:
Robusta coffee (London):
September 2025 delivery: Increased by $59/ton, to $3,679/ton.
November 2025 delivery: Increased by $58/ton, to $3,624/ton.
Arabica coffee (New York):
September 2025 delivery: Down 4.05 cents/lb, to 296.05 cents/lb.
December 2025 delivery: Down 4.2 cents/lb, to 290.4 cents/lb.
Over the past two months, coffee prices have been under continuous downward pressure due to expectations of a sharp increase in global supply. According to the newly released semi-annual report from the US Department of Agriculture (USDA), global coffee production in the 2025–2026 crop year is projected to reach a record 178.68 million bags, a 2.5% increase compared to the previous crop year.
Specifically, arabica production decreased slightly by 1.7% to 97.02 million bags, while robusta production increased sharply by 7.9%, reaching 81.66 million bags. In Brazil, coffee production is forecast to increase slightly by 0.5%, reaching 65 million bags. Meanwhile, Vietnam is expected to increase production by as much as 6.9%, to 31 million bags, the highest level in the last four years.
According to the USDA, global ending coffee inventories for the 2025-2026 crop year will increase to 22.8 million bags, 4.9% higher than the 21.75 million bags of the previous crop year. This forecast further reinforces the current downward pressure on world coffee prices.
