Coffee prices today, November 20, 2025: Rising sharply again.
Today, November 20th, domestic coffee prices are at 113,700 - 114,800 VND/kg, a sharp increase of 1,000 to 1,200 VND/kg. Severe flooding is causing damage to over 5 hectares of coffee plantations that were ready for harvest.
Domestic coffee prices today
Domestic coffee prices in the Central Highlands region today, November 20, 2025, have risen sharply again, fluctuating between 113,700 and 114,800 VND/kg.
Specifically, in Lam Dong province, the prices in Di Linh, Bao Loc, and Lam Ha increased sharply by 1,100 VND/kg compared to yesterday, trading at the same level of 113,700 VND/kg.
In Dak Lak province, the Cu M'gar area is currently buying coffee at 114,700 VND/kg, an increase of 1,000 VND/kg compared to yesterday. Meanwhile, the Ea H'leo and Buon Ho areas are trading at 114,600 VND/kg.
In Dak Nong (Lam Dong province), traders in Gia Nghia and Dak R'lap increased prices by 1,000 VND/kg compared to yesterday, trading at 114,800 and 114,700 VND/kg respectively.
In Gia Lai province, the Chu Prong area is trading at 114,200 VND/kg, while Pleiku and La Grai are at 114,100 VND/kg, an increase of 1,200 VND/kg compared to yesterday.
Prolonged heavy rain has caused localized flooding on many major roads and in some areas of crops in low-lying areas along the Krông Năng River. This situation has significantly affected the daily lives of people in the area. Given the complex weather patterns, the local authorities are implementing various measures to proactively respond and minimize damage.
The commune's Civil Defense Command directly visited the areas assessed as vulnerable to conduct on-site inspections and develop plans to ensure the safety of the people. The commune's police and military forces are stationed at dangerous points, guiding people to travel safely, while also posting warning signs and implementing necessary measures to mitigate risks.
At the Tan Hiep dam area, on the border between Dlie Ya and Tam Giang communes, water levels are rising rapidly and the current is strong, posing a serious safety risk. Local authorities urge residents to comply with warning signs, follow instructions from functional forces, and absolutely refrain from traveling or gathering in these areas. Residents are also advised to regularly update themselves on flood information and proactively take measures to protect themselves and their families.
Severe flooding continues to cause damage in many low-lying areas along the Krông Năng River, particularly to agricultural production. Initial estimates indicate that more than 5 hectares of coffee plantations, which were preparing for harvest, have been deeply submerged, posing a serious risk to the yield and income of coffee farmers.
World coffee prices today
Coffee prices on the world market have fallen sharply on both exchanges:
Robusta coffee (London):
November 2025 delivery: Decreased by $29/ton, to $4,545/ton.
January 2026 delivery: Decreased by $69/ton, to $4,504/ton.
Arabica coffee (New York):
December 2025 delivery: Down 7.35 cents/lb, to 408 cents/lb.
March 2026 delivery: Down 8 cents/lb, to 379.7 cents/lb.
Coffee continues to play a crucial role among Vietnam's key agricultural exports, with export revenue reaching US$8.4 billion in the 2024-2025 crop year, an increase of over 55% compared to the same period. However, international markets, especially Europe – which consumes approximately 40% of Vietnam's coffee exports – are imposing stricter requirements on quality standards and sustainability. This presents both opportunities for market expansion and pressure for the coffee industry to adapt.
Besides the requirement to control pesticide residue levels below 0.1 mg/kg, the EU Regulation on Deforestation and Forest Degradation (EUDR) has forced many coffee-producing regions to change their farming models. In Dak Lak – the leading coffee-producing province – farmers are facing pressure from pests, rising input costs, and small-scale production. These factors significantly impact productivity and the ability to meet export market standards.
In this context, Bayer, in collaboration with the Dak Lak Agricultural Extension Center, the Western Highlands Agro-Forestry Science and Technology Institute (Wasi), and local farmers, is implementing a sustainable coffee farming model starting in early 2025. The model focuses on effective pest and disease management and residue control, aiming to build a coffee value chain that meets international standards. Initial results were presented at the seminar "Connecting the Chain – Elevating Vietnamese Coffee," attracting participation from representatives of management agencies, businesses, cooperatives, and producers.
According to estimates, the new farming model can help farmers achieve yields of 3.3–4.7 tons of beans per hectare, higher than the 3–4.3 tons per hectare of traditional farming methods. This yield increase of 10–15% is considered a positive sign, creating a foundation for expanding the model in the future and supporting the coffee industry in improving quality and competitiveness in the international market.
