The atmosphere celebrating the 50th anniversary of the Liberation of Southern Vietnam and the reunification of the country is spreading everywhere, especially in cafes in Da Nang. Many places have been prominently decorated with the national flag, the Party flag, and bright red slogans, becoming popular destinations for locals and young people to check in and share their national pride.

During these days, people across the country are looking forward to the major holiday. Therefore, cafes and public places decorated with solemnity become ideal locations to preserve memories and express gratitude to the generations who sacrificed for national independence. Wearing shirts with the words "Vietnam" or hats decorated with the red flag and yellow star has become a familiar choice for emotionally charged photos.

One young person shared that they and their family wanted to capture the moment during this important occasion, when the whole country comes together to remember and pay tribute. For them, it's not just about taking a photo, but about the pride of living in peacetime, an achievement bought with the youth and blood of previous generations. Many also chose to wear traditional Vietnamese ao dai or uniforms when visiting the decorated sites, not only to get beautiful photos but also as a way to express their love for their homeland and country during this important national holiday.

World coffee prices today

Coffee prices on the world market have fallen sharply on both exchanges:

Robusta coffee (London):

Delivery in May 2025: Decreased by $73/ton, to $5,180/ton.

July 2025 delivery: Decreased by $76/ton, to $5,201/ton.

Arabica coffee (New York):

May 2025 delivery: Up 3.7 cents/lb, to 368.25 cents/lb.

July 2025 delivery: Up 3.3 cents/lb, to 361.75 cents/lb.

Arabica coffee prices edged higher, supported by a US dollar that fell to a three-year low. The main pressure came from the prospect of increased supply in Brazil, where weather conditions are very favorable for the upcoming harvest.

The sell-off in the stock market also contributed to heightened risk sentiment, negatively impacting commodities, including coffee. Simultaneously, ICE-monitored arabica coffee inventories rose to their highest level in five weeks, reaching 801,549 bags. Robusta coffee inventories also increased to 4,272 lots, the highest level in the past week.

The entire global coffee industry remains highly volatile. Analysts believe that the tension between supply and demand will persist, while speculative factors in the futures market continue to exert influence. These uncertainties are expected to last until at least the second half of 2025.
