Coffee prices today, July 23, 2025: Sharp decline across the board.
Today, July 23rd, domestic coffee prices are at 91,600 - 92,300 VND/kg. Coffee prices have dropped sharply across the board, by 1500 to 1900 VND/kg compared to yesterday. Vietnam's market share in the European coffee market has decreased significantly.
Domestic coffee prices today
Domestic coffee prices in the Central Highlands region today, July 23rd, have dropped sharply across the board, fluctuating between 91,600 and 92,300 VND/kg.
Accordingly, traders in Lam Dong province are buying coffee at 92,300 VND/kg, a sharp decrease of 1,700 VND/kg compared to yesterday.
Similarly, the price of coffee in Dak Lak province is 92,300 VND/kg, a decrease of 1,500 VND/kg compared to yesterday.
Coffee prices in Gia Lai province decreased by 1600 VND/kg compared to yesterday and are trading at 92,200 VND/kg.
Meanwhile, in Lam Dong province, specifically in Bao Loc Ward 1, Hoa Ninh Commune, Duc Trong Commune, and Dinh Van Lam Ha Commune, the price of coffee decreased by 1900 VND/kg compared to yesterday, reaching 91,600 VND/kg.
According to export businesses, Vietnam is currently entering the final stage of the coffee harvest. Farmers no longer have large inventories, while previously signed export contracts are forcing businesses to actively purchase more. This is why domestic coffee prices remain high, even though world prices show signs of a slight decline.
Conversely, international coffee prices are closely watching changes in global trade policies, particularly from Brazil. Any fluctuations in weather, tariffs, or supply from Brazil could create major shocks to the global coffee market, leading to volatility in domestic coffee prices.
In the short term, coffee prices in the Vietnamese market are forecast to remain stable or possibly experience slight adjustments within a narrow range. However, if there is increased buying pressure from international roasters or signs of tightening supply from major producing countries, coffee prices could rebound in the near future.
World coffee prices today
On the London exchange, online robusta coffee futures contracts for September 2025 delivery closed the trading session on July 23rd at $3,290 per ton, a sharp increase of 3.23% ($103 per ton) compared to the previous session. The November 2025 contract rose 2.97% ($94 per ton) to $3,258 per ton.

On the New York Stock Exchange, the price of Arabica coffee for September 2025 delivery rose 1.3% (3.8 US cents/pound), reaching 295.75 US cents/pound. The November 2025 contract increased 1.14% (3.25 US cents/pound), to 288.15 US cents/pound.

The European Coffee Federation (ECF) has just released a report showing that Vietnam's coffee market share in Europe decreased significantly in 2024. Specifically, this figure fell to only 18.6%, much lower than the 23.9% of 2023.
In terms of volume, Vietnam exported approximately 539,000 tons of coffee to Europe in 2024, down from 633,400 tons the previous year. Meanwhile, Europe's total coffee imports increased from 2.65 million tons in 2023 to 2.9 million tons in 2024.
Another noteworthy point is that green coffee bean inventories at major European ports have decreased sharply in the first months of 2025. By the end of April, inventories were only about 424,403 tons, half the amount at the end of 2022. This suggests that in the near future, European importers may have to increase purchases to compensate for the consumed volume, opening up opportunities for the recovery of Vietnam's coffee exports.
