Domestic coffee prices today

Domestic coffee prices in the Central Highlands region today, April 26, 2025, continued to rise sharply compared to yesterday, fluctuating between 131,500 and 132,200 VND/kg.

Accordingly, traders in Dak Nong province are buying coffee at the highest price of 132,200 VND/kg, a sharp increase of 1,700 VND/kg compared to yesterday.

Similarly, the price of coffee in Dak Lak province is 132,200 VND/kg, an increase of 1,700 VND/kg compared to yesterday.

Coffee prices in Gia Lai province increased by 1600 VND/kg and are trading at 132,000 VND/kg.

In Lam Dong province, the price of coffee increased by 1500 VND/kg and reached 131,500 VND/kg.

In the first half of April, Vietnam's coffee exports reached US$3.3 billion, a 46.8% increase compared to the same period last year, despite a decrease in production. According to data from the Customs Department, in the first half of April 2025, Vietnam exported 83,572 tons of coffee, valued at US$482.98 million. Compared to the same period last year, production decreased slightly by 3%, while value increased by nearly 50%.

From the beginning of the year until April 15th, total coffee exports reached 580,999 tons, a decrease of 13.5%, equivalent to 90,383 tons, compared to the same period in 2024. However, thanks to the sharp increase in coffee prices, export value still increased by nearly 47%, reaching 3.3 billion USD. With this result, coffee has for the first time surpassed seafood (currently at 2.7 billion USD) to rise to second place in terms of export value among agricultural products, only behind wood and wood products (4.57 billion USD).

The average export price of Vietnamese coffee in the first half of April reached US$5,779 per ton, a slight decrease of 1.6% compared to the previous month, but still 54.3% higher than the same period in 2024. Overall, from the beginning of the year to mid-April, the average export price reached US$5,685 per ton, an increase of nearly 70%.

World coffee prices today

Coffee prices on the world market have fallen sharply on both exchanges:

Robusta coffee (London):

Delivery in May 2025: Decreased by $17/ton, to $5,410/ton.

July 2025 delivery: Down $21/ton, to $5,348/ton.

Arabica coffee (New York):

May 2025 delivery: Up 3.95 cents/lb, to 402.75 cents/lb.

July 2025 delivery: Up 2.8 cents/lb, to 394.1 cents/lb.

On the international market, at the close of trading on the morning of April 25th, arabica coffee prices reached their highest level in four weeks, while robusta also reached its highest level in one week, reflecting positive investor sentiment.

According to Reuters, the National Coffee Association (NCA) said its proposal to exempt coffee imports from tariffs, which it submitted to the Trump administration, has received a positive response. However, Bill Murray, CEO of the NCA, remained cautious and said it was difficult to predict whether the proposal would be approved.

In addition, global coffee prices were supported by the appreciation of the Brazilian real and concerns about limited supply. On April 23, the real rose to its highest level in two and a half weeks against the USD, making Brazilian coffee producers less inclined to sell their produce.

Furthermore, according to forecasts from Rabobank and Itau BBA, Brazil's coffee production in the 2025-2026 season could decrease by 3% to 6.4% compared to the previous year, due to the impact of dry weather throughout 2024. This increases concerns about global supply and further supports the upward trend in coffee prices.
