Harvesting is complete, and focus on caring for the orchard.
To date, most key coffee-growing regions have essentially completed the harvest for the 2025-2026 crop year. Farmers are now focusing on the care and fertilization phase to restore the vigor of their plantations. This is considered a crucial stage to ensure productivity for the next season after a long period of the plants concentrating their energy on fruit production.
Although current prices have decreased slightly compared to the beginning of the season, the price of over 95,000 VND/kg is still considered positive by experts. This helps farmers have sufficient financial resources to invest in sustainable farming practices and improve the quality of coffee beans.
World market: Arabica recovers on the New York exchange.
On the international market, the divergence between the two derivatives exchanges continues due to the Christmas holiday. In London, the Robusta market is operating at a reduced pace. However, at the close of the most recent trading session, the price of Robusta for January 2026 delivery still recorded an increase of $42/ton, reaching $4,012/ton; the March 2026 contract increased by $34/ton, reaching $3,854/ton.
On the New York exchange, Arabica coffee prices showed a clear improvement. The March 2026 contract rose 3.15 cents/lb to 348.4 cents/lb. The May 2026 contract also increased 2.2 cents/lb, reaching 333.05 cents/lb. According to analysts, the increase in Arabica prices is mainly due to the weakening US dollar amidst thin market liquidity, creating favorable conditions for agricultural commodities to recover in value.
