Coffee prices have reached their highest level since the beginning of March. Vietnam's coffee exports continue to perform well. According to the General Department of Customs, in the first 15 days of April 2025, Vietnam exported 79,163 tons of green coffee beans, earning US$437.73 million, an increase of 8.5% in volume and 68.8% in value compared to the same period last year.

Of that total, Robusta coffee dominated with 72,078 tons, worth $390.27 million, an increase of 6.5% in volume and 62.3% in value. Arabica coffee reached 4,645 tons with a value of $30.9 million, recording a strong increase of 111.8% in value compared to the same period.

From the beginning of the year to April 15, 2025, Vietnam exported a total of 577,945 tons of green coffee beans, earning over 3.1 billion USD. Despite a 6.3% decrease in export volume, the value still increased by 59.6% thanks to an average export price of over 5,600 USD/ton, the highest level in many years.

World coffee prices today

Coffee prices on the world market have fallen sharply on both exchanges:

Robusta coffee (London):

July 2025 delivery: Down $23/ton, to $5,392/ton.

September 2025 delivery: Down $17/ton, to $5,346/ton.

Arabica coffee (New York):

July 2025 delivery: Up 5.5 cents/lb, to 405.35 cents/lb.

September 2025 delivery: Up 5.3 cents/lb, to 397.9 cents/lb.

Experts believe that the global and domestic coffee markets are currently influenced by a complex interplay of macroeconomic and microeconomic factors, making price fluctuations unpredictable.

Global supply is playing a key role. In Brazil, Arabica production in the 2024/2025 season is projected to increase sharply due to favorable weather, raising concerns about oversupply and putting downward pressure on prices.

Furthermore, global financial factors are also directly impacting coffee prices. In this context, the coffee market is projected to enter a short-term correction phase, while the medium-term outlook largely depends on weather conditions and purchasing power in major importing markets.
