Domestic coffee prices today

Domestic coffee prices in the Central Highlands region today, April 30, 2025, increased slightly compared to yesterday, fluctuating between 130,200 and 130,800 VND/kg.

Accordingly, traders in Dak Nong province are buying coffee at the highest price of 130,800 VND/kg, a slight increase of 100 VND/kg compared to yesterday.

Similarly, the price of coffee in Dak Lak province is 130,800 VND/kg, an increase of 100 VND/kg compared to yesterday.

Coffee prices in Gia Lai province increased by 200 VND/kg and are trading at 130,700 VND/kg.

In Lam Dong province, the price of coffee increased by 200 VND/kg and reached 130,200 VND/kg.

Domestically, due to decreasing supply and the lack of improvement in dry weather conditions, coffee prices are expected to remain high and may continue to rise in the short term. However, the market remains highly sensitive to weather conditions in Brazil and import demand from major consuming countries.

In the European market, in February 2025, the EU imported 3.15 million bags of green coffee beans, a decrease of nearly 10% compared to the previous month and a decrease of more than 18% compared to the same period in 2024. However, total imports for the 2024-2025 crop year still increased by 6.22% compared to the previous crop year, reaching 47.05 million bags.

Coffee imports in February reached €1.01 billion, a slight decrease from the previous month but a sharp increase of 44.28% compared to the same period last year, indicating a significant rise in coffee prices throughout 2024. Despite rising prices and import costs, demand for coffee in Europe remains strong due to concerns about the new EUDR regulations, although their implementation has been postponed to the end of 2024, causing a slight slowdown in import activity.

World coffee prices today

Coffee prices on the world market have fallen sharply on both exchanges:

Robusta coffee (London):

July 2025 delivery: Decreased by $90/ton, to $5,323/ton.

September 2025 delivery: Decreased by $93/ton, to $5,272/ton.

Arabica coffee (New York):

July 2025 delivery: Down 8.5 cents/lb, to 401.55 cents/lb.

September 2025 delivery: Down 8.55 cents/lb, to 393.35 cents/lb.

The global coffee market experienced a sharp decline across the board. Arabica prices reached their highest level in two and a half months, driven by concerns about declining production in Brazil and continued stable demand despite higher retail prices.

Rabobank forecasts that Brazil's arabica production for the 2025-2026 season will decrease by 13.6% to 38.1 million bags, due to drought conditions affecting the flowering process of coffee plants.

Conversely, robusta prices came under downward pressure as Rabobank forecast Brazil's robusta production to increase by 7.3% during the same period, reaching a record 24.7 million bags. In addition, the strengthening Brazilian Real on April 28th, reaching a three-week high against the USD, reduced the incentive for Brazilian producers to sell, contributing to supporting coffee prices.
